Community Economic Development

The focus of a Community Futures organization is to integrate the social and economic needs of communities to foster and develop a vision for the community.

We help our rural communities expand local economies by looking at new approaches to business development and providing access to business resources and financial assistance. This is made possible through partnerships with all sectors of the community, both private and public.

Our Communities

There are four rural municipalities in our region, each containing a number of hamlets, villages, towns or cities. For information on the municipality, click on the name or on the map below.

• Rural Municipality of Cartier including the communities of Elie and St. Eustache.
• Rural Municipality of Headingley
• Rural Municipality of Portage la Prairie including the communities of Edwin, High Bluff, Macdonald, Oakville, and Poplar Point.
• Rural Municipality of St. François Xavier
