About Us
Community Futures White Horse Plains is a non-profit, community-based, economic development agency. Community Futures
(CF's) are an initiative of the Government of Canada. In western Canada, the  program is administered by Western Economic Diversification Canada. There are
90 CF's
in western Canada.

Our organization is here to assist small businesses, individuals who would like to start a small business, and our communities.
"Community Futures White Horse Plains will endeavour to enhance the social and economic quality of life by bringing together and cooperating with all appropriate stakeholders in supporting, developing, and promoting communities, individuals, organizations and businesses within the White Horse Plains region
of Manitoba (Canada)."
Board of Directors
Each CF is operated by a Board of Directors. In the case of
Community Futures White Horse Plains, the board is made up of two representatives appointed from each of the rural municipal governments in the area.

Our Region
The White Horse Plain is located immediately west of the city of Winnipeg. Winnipeg is the capital city of the Canadian province of Manitoba, also known as the "Keystone Province" because of its central location. The region is named after a local aboriginal legend about inter-tribal courtship, a white horse and a tragic ending.
